Why We Started

Hi, I'm Eric S., founder of CanineDrops.

Like many dog owners, I've always believed our dogs deserve more than just being told to "wait and see."

Over the years, I spoke with hundreds of dog owners who noticed subtle changes in their dogs' eyes. A little cloudiness. More hesitation at night. Missing a step they never used to miss. Taking longer to recognize a toy or navigate around furniture.

The frustrating part?

Many were told the same thing:

"It's just aging. Monitor it for now."

But for most owners, that answer never felt complete.

The more stories I heard, the more I realized these weren't just medical concerns. They were emotional ones.

People weren't simply worried about cloudy eyes.

They were worried about watching a beloved companion slowly lose confidence, independence, and the little routines that made them who they were.

That's what led me to start CanineDrops.

A Different Approach

While researching canine eye health, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Dr. David Martinez, a veterinarian who spent over a decade caring for thousands of dogs through animal shelters and clinical practice.

Together, we explored one question:

Why do so many dog owners feel like they have no options until their dog's vision has already significantly declined?

What we discovered was that most products focused on the surface of the eye, while many of the age-related changes owners notice begin deeper within the eye itself.

That insight became the foundation for CanineDrops.

Rather than creating another complicated routine involving eye drops, wipes, or stressful daily battles, we wanted something simple.

Something owners could add to their dog's food in seconds.

Something designed to support long-term eye health as part of a daily wellness routine.
